Rachel TauleleiWe are proud to have Rachel Taulelei (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Rarua) speak at Ngā Whetū Hei Whai for 2015. Rachel is described as having led change in the New Zealand fishing industry. As founder and CEO of Yellow Brick Road Ltd, she has had success in the development of an innovative sustainable supply of fresh fish to restaurants across the country.

With an infectious passion for the business, Rachel has a strong commitment to having a values-based business focussed on the sustainability of the resource and this is the hallmark of her leadership and company.

Rachel established Yellow Brick Road following eight years in the US with NZTE as Trade Commissioner and North American Regional Manager, Food and Beverages. She is a director of Māori food and beverage company, Kono, a member of Westpac's External Sustainable Business Panel, chairs the Wellington Culinary Events Trust, and is a Trustee for the Wellington Regional Stadium and Sir Peter Blake Trusts. In 2012 Rachel received a Blake Leader award from the Sir Peter Blake Trust, and in 2013 was a finalist in the inaugural Women of Influence awards.
